Lecture: Development of Spinal Deformity
In this lecture the development of spinal deformity is discussed, beginning with the root cause of the deformity. Development of idiopathic scoliosis is covered in detail and its progression is explained using an innovative model scheme. The other types of curves caused by pathological processes affecting the nervous tissue are covered. Finally, the issues of disturbances in balance are addressed.
