Lecture: From Clinical Signs and Symptoms to Diagnosis in Spinal Disorders
In this spine surgery lecture, the author looks at the clinical signs and symptoms with which spinal patients report to the out patient clinics. The author explains briefly the anatomy of the spinal column and discusses various types of pain which can have origins in the spinal column. The flag system is explained in great detail, along with the points pertaining to pain. The clinical examination is described, with special emphasis on the neurological assessment. Finally, deformity examination is covered with the aid of X-rays and diagrams.
